Summary: Plagued by nightmares and sleeplessness, John is given a stark choice - quit his job or get therapy and sort out his issues once and for all. At first, quitting seems like his best option, but thanks to his Dorian's stubbornness (and a little help from their friends) he finds he has something worth living for after all.

Really beautifully done - I love that Kennex knows something needs to change, and how Dorian's and John's psychologies are both explored here. Love this fic. The artwork is totally stunning too -so gorgeous in all the details.

Hello, Patt and Morgan Briarwood.

I've read Running On Empty at Archive of Our Own (I don't really understand why no one commented it), and I left a comment there and decided to leave it here, too.

It took time to read you story, but I enjoyed it, I loved it. Such mixture of love, and drama, and case fic, and that-not-really-good-guy, it was nice.

So I wanted to thank you for a good story!
